About YourMail

YourMail is a transactional email API for apps: password resets, sign-in links, receipts and notifications, sent from Amazon SES in London. It is built and run by a small, independent UK company.
Who runs it
YourMail is a product of Mather Software Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17443861). The registered office is 31 Mill Fold Gardens, Littleborough, England, OL15 8SA. You can check these details on the Companies House register.
Mather Software Ltd is also the contracting party in our Terms and Data Processing Agreement. Its other work is at mathersoftware.com.
Why it exists
Many email APIs send from the US, or offer an EU region. For a UK business whose customers expect their data to stay in the UK, that is a question to answer in every procurement review. YourMail sends every message from the AWS London region (eu-west-2), so the answer is short. The security page says exactly what that does and does not cover.
